RayNeo touts its Air 2 glasses (currently available for $329 on Amazon with a coupon) as the best way to enjoy up to 201-inch entertainment, gaming and content in FHD/120Hz with integrated audio capable of a privacy-focused "whisper mode" anywhere.
However, in order to enjoy streaming of that potential magnitude, one would probably have to connect their Android or iPhone 15-series mobile device to the glasses' USB-C port to get at apps such as Google TV.
However, the brand has decided that users would be a dedicated gadget for this purpose. The Pocket TV has been developed by SEI Robotics to deliver an "unforgettable, on-the-go" Google TV experience optimized for RayNeo glasses.
To this end, the device sports custom physical controls that includes a large clickwheel and dedicated buttons to get at YouTube, Prime Video content and the Assistant. The Pocket TV also acts as local storage, with 64GB onboard that can be expanded by microSD cards of up to 2TB in size.
It also packs a 6,500mAh battery to keep the glasses on via the wired connection, yet is touted to slip easily into any pocket or bag. Accordingly, RayNeo now touts it as the ideal portable companion for your Air-series glasses - or possible oneday X2s.
Then again, the Pocket TV might beat those crowdfunded GPT-powered flagship glasses onto the market, as they are scheduled to be listed on Amazon by the end of May 2024 at an RRP of $179.
