Deal | GEEKNUC makes Intel NUC12 Enthusiast Serpent Canyon mini PC available for just under US$1,000

GEEKNUC's latest PC for the Intel Enthusiast-class market is a Serpent Canyon machine that, despite being "only 1/10 the size of an average desktop PC", packs all 14 cores of the i7-12700H, not to mention 12GB of "beyond RTX 3060" Arc A770M graphics.

The mini PC is also touted as pretty rich in terms of ports, with dual DisplayPort 2.0 outputs as well as those for HDMI 2.1 and 2.5 Gigabit (Gb) Ethernet. There is also a total of 8 USB ports - although only 2 are Thunderbolt 4-capable type-Cs.

One of Alder Lake's more powerful Canyons does not come cheap even today, as a cursory Amazon search might tell you. However, going through GEEKNUC's first-party store nets you a bare-bones NUC12 Enthusiast for just US$999 (or ~50% off its starting price) before shipping during the brand's ongoing Summer Sale. Choosing one pre-equipped with 32 to 64GB of RAM and 1 to 2TB SSDs would increase that cost by US$150 to US$300 respectively.

Alternatively, a 32GB/1TB Intel NUC 13 Pro (or Arena Canyon) with the Core i7-1360P CPU is available for US$919 on Amazon right now.
