PlayStation 5: New Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition snares a pre-order date
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 official release event is still months away; nevertheless, Sony and Insomniac Games are ready with their latest way to keep hype for the upcoming title swinging through the rooftops with a new custom version of the PS5.
The new Limited Edition seems to be a disk-capable SKU of the console with conventional specs; however, its exterior has been augmented with new branded artwork that reflects the game's main challenges, namely "the threat of Venom and the symbiote".
The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle is completed by a DualSense Wireless Controller with a matching infested finish and a voucher for a digital version of the game. Its pre-orders start on July 28, 2023 - however, it seems Sony will wait until then to reveal pricing for the new PS5 variant.
Those who have already managed to get their (still up to US$499) console are not left out of the fun, however, as it seems they can convert their standard white units into a Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition anyway with the additional purchase of new first-party Darkplates with the same 'enVenomed' finish, not to mention a DualSense of the same new colorway.
The accessories are to be released compatible with either the Disk or Digital version of the console, but are also without pricing or release information at the time of writing.
