Sony has announced that Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War have been the most-downloaded PS5 games at the PlayStation Store for November. Miles Morales was the number one downloaded title for the US/Canada region while Black Ops Cold War was the most popular download in the EU. Suitably, each game was also runner-up to the other in the respective region charts. A similar situation occurred with Demon’s Souls (third US/Canada, fourth EU) and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (fourth US/Canada, third EU).
It’s likely sales for Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PS5 will rocket even further once gamers find out about the great update that Insomniac Games recently released. Once PS5 console owners have installed update version 1.007.001 (261.9 MB) they will find a new option in the settings under “graphics mode”: “performance RT”. A description has been offered for this choice, which should delight many fans:
This is an alternate version of the 60 frames per second 'Performance' mode, adding ray-tracing by adjusting the scene resolution, reflection quality, and pedestrian density.
So although there might be fewer onlookers gawping at Miles Morales as he swings deftly through the streets of Manhattan, and there will be those who complain about the resolution differences, there will also be plenty happy to see that the devs at Insomniac are trying their best to give PS5 gamers the most out of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. At least the update now solves the 30 fps fidelity mode with ray tracing or 60 fps performance mode without ray tracing quandary players previously faced.
