Next week, the official Oppo Find X9 launch will kick off in Europe, but leaked prices suggest comparatively high costs. Those who want the global version but are willing to compromise on some consumer protection rights in the EU can probably save money by importing the global model from other regions.

The Oppo Find X9 and Oppo Find X9 Pro have been available in China for several days now and can now be imported as imported as Chinese models. This is by far the cheapest way to get your hands on the latest Hasselblad camera flagship, especially since it offers the greatest flexibility in terms of storage and color options. Those who are particularly interested in the stylish red version will have no choice but to import the Chinese model, as only two colors are available outside of China and red is not one of them, according to Europreisleak.

Next week will reveal whether the leaker's prediction is correct, as the European launch of the Oppo Find X9 series is scheduled for October 28. If the comparatively high prices, especially for the Oppo Find X9 Pro, turn out to be true, it may make sense to import the global model from other regions. One retailer is already offering this option, but will only ship the Oppo Find X9 Pro from October 30, i.e., after the official global launch has passed. At AverageDad, a retailer based in the United Arab Emirates, the global version can be ordered for $1,289 including taxes, in the only available storage option with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.

Our recommendation: Wait for the global launch

This price includes all taxes, not including shipping costs. However, AverageDad only offers a one-year warranty, and you only have a 14-day right of return if the product has not been opened; otherwise, a 20% restocking fee applies. If you can live with that, you'll probably save some money, although we have no experience with this retailer. However, the retailer has very positive reviews on Trustpilot, with a few exceptions.

We would still recommend waiting for the global launch. If the final price turns out to be lower or special pre-order deals are offered, the offer could turn out to be less attractive than it is at the moment. In addition, other retailers such as Wondamobile may also offer the global version. Since shipping will not begin until October 30 anyway, that would be our recommendation. For customers in the UK, the price is estimated at £949.
