Leaker Kacper Skrzypek has shed light on the state on the Poco F8 Pro and how it will fit into Xiaomi's smartphone lineup. To recap, the Poco F7 Pro arrived in March alongside the Poco F7 Ultra (curr. $759.99 on Amazon). Given Xiaomi's favoured yearly release cycles for its high-end Poco smartphones, we doubt that we will see the Poco F8 Pro or Poco F8 Ultra arriving before next spring.
Nonetheless, HyperOS 3 is said to already said to be throwing up clues about the Poco F8 series. Just yesterday, battery and charging information surfaced online regarding the Poco F8 Ultra. Now, it is the case for the Poco F8 Pro, which is believed to be the global alternative to the Redmi K90. Based on the evidence that Skrzypek has shared, the Poco F8 Pro will not be launching with the 7,100 mAh battery found in the Redmi K90.
Just like the Poco F7 Pro before it, the Poco F8 Pro is set to feature a capped battery capacity compared with its Chinese counterpart. Specifically, HyperOS 3 indicates that Xiaomi will equip the Poco F8 Pro with a 6,210 mAh battery for a modest 3.5% and 210 mAh capacity increase on this year's model. A bump from 90 W wired to 100 W wired charging should be joining this new battery, though. Please see our Redmi K90 launch article for more details about what to expect from the Poco F8 Pro before its early 2026 arrival.
