The OnePlus Ace 6 will launch in China alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-equipped OnePlus 15. It will be an affordable sub-flagship phone that has been recently teased to pack relatively great specs for the price range it will reside in. With the newly shared teasers, the company has now showcased the camera capabilities of the smartphone.
As OnePlus confirms, the Ace 6 will feature a Sony 50 MP primary sensor that will be paired with the same algorithm that its sister brand, Oppo, uses for flagship phones. This combination promises "crystal-clear" details, "detailed gradations" of shadow and light, and bright colors.
OnePlus has also shared some sample photos captured by the cameras of the Ace 6. These samples confirm that the primary sensor will feature a 24 mm focal length and an f/1.8 aperture. They also showcase the phone's capability to capture detail-rich and vibrant photos in daylight, but it's still unclear how well the photography performance will be in low-light environments.
That said, there will be a secondary camera on the back, which is rumored to be an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. If that turns out to be true, the Ace 6 will not have a telephoto camera. This would be a disadvantage compared to the camera setup of the recently released Redmi K90, which is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Fortunately, the other specs seem decent, including the 165 Hz display, metal mid-frame, and a 7,800 mAh battery with support for 120 W fast charging (140 W Anker Prime charger curr. $79.99 on Amazon). The Ace 6 is expected to launch in the global market as the OnePlus 15R, positioned below the OnePlus 15. More details will be confirmed during the imminent October 27, 2025, launch event.
