Less than a year after releasing the Oppo Find X8, Oppo is expected to unveil the Oppo Find X9 series of flagship smartphones in late September or early October. The Oppo Find X9 and the Oppo Find X9 Pro are said to come out first, while the Oppo Find X9 Ultra could release a few months later.
Per various leaks, Oppo is preparing a host of changes for the Oppo Find X9 and the Find X9 Pro, including bigger batteries, new cameras, and more. One of these changes appears to be a new design. Oppo is reportedly overhauling the back design of the Find X9.
Per an image shared online by UniverseIce on X, the Oppo Find X9 will feature a left-aligned, rectangular back camera module. This is a major departure from the camera module design of the Oppo Find X8, which features a circular camera island positioned in the upper middle of the back. This new back design of the Oppo Find X9 is similar to the Oppo Reno 13 and, to some extent, the Xiaomi 15 (Available on Amazon).
The front of the device, however, looks identical to the Find X8, with thin, uniform bezels all around the panel and a small hole-punch selfie camera. Moreover, the volume, power, and alert slider placement of the Oppo Find X9 also seem to be the same as the Oppo Find X8.
While chances are quite high that Oppo could use the same design for the bigger Find X9 Pro, we wouldn’t rule out the Find X9 Ultra employing a different back camera layout. It will also be interesting to see where OnePlus and Vivo, Oppo’s sister brands, take the designs of their upcoming flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 15 and the Vivo X300.
