The launch date for many new Oppo products, including the highly anticipated Oppo Find X8 Ultra, has now been confirmed – at least in China. Some of the devices set to be unveiled on 10 April 2025 may see a global release in the coming months, whilst others, such as the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, will likely remain exclusive to China. Just this past weekend, a leaker revealed a few interesting new details about the Find X8 Ultra's camera.
First photo comparison with Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max
Today, Oppo shared the teaser poster above with its community. Product manager Zhou Bao also further surprised us with an initial photo from the Hasselblad camera, which expectedly was presented in comparison to what Apple can deliver in the same scenario. In recent months, Oppo has frequently compared its products directly with the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max to emphasise their advantages, such as the superior flat displays on the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Find X8s.
The photo comparison demonstrates where the Find X8 Ultra’s Hasselblad camera outperforms the flagship iPhone's camera in a very dark environment illuminated by red neon lighting. Notably, the Hasselblad tuning is especially designed to enhance the camera’s colour accuracy. The phone also features a multispectral sensor that helps ensure accurate colours, coupled with extremely light-sensitive dual periscope telephoto lenses and a one-inch sensor behind the main shooter.
Memory and storage options
Consumers in China can preorder the Oppo Find X8 Ultra now for early delivery after launch. Oppo has also revealed the memory and storage options available. As you can see in the screenshot of the Chinese preorder page, the base model includes 12 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage, whilst two additional variants with 16 GB of RAM offer 512 GB or 1 TB of storage.
Oppo Find X8s and Oppo Find X8s+
In addition to the Find X8 Ultra, the Oppo Watch X2 Mini, the Oppo Pad 4 Pro, and two Oppo Find X8s models are also due to be officially announced on 10 April. That’s right, the Oppo Find X8s will debut alongside a larger variant called the Find X8s+. According to the official teaser, the base model features a flat 6.3-inch display, whereas the plus model comes with a 6.59-inch OLED panel.
