The frequency of Galaxy S26 leaks has increased dramatically since the beginning of the year. No wonder, as the big Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco is slowly approaching, albeit a little later than usual in recent years. Today, January 14, 2026, leaker Ahmed Qwaider, who has provided accurate information in the past, also weighed in. While his latest post on X (formerly Twitter) doesn't reveal any groundbreaking news, it does corroborate some previously unconfirmed details from earlier leaks and rumors.
Last year, there were claims of faster charging on all three Galaxy S26 models. While only the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to benefit from a maximum charging speed of 60 watts, the Galaxy S26 is also expected to see its current 25-watt limit via USB-C increased to 45 watts, the same maximum as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The leaker has now confirmed this information and also reveals what is likely to be the most probable chipset distribution for the Galaxy S26 series in Europe.
Accordingly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will probably be the only model internationally to house the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ will have the Exynos 2600 on board, the world's first 2nm chip, long well before Apple, Qualcomm and Mediatek are expected to advertise 2nm processors towards the end of the year. Although it is still not 100% certain that the Galaxy S26 EU model will feature an Exynos 2600, the evidence is mounting, with Geekbench GPU scores for the international Galaxy S26 model recently making an appearance.
