After many details about the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air have been leaked recently, Honor has now released a series of new teaser images that show the smartphone in four colors and officially confirm several specifications. To be more exact, Honor has unveiled the new Android smartphone in white, black, orange and violet.
With a thickness of 0.24 inches, the smartphone is about 0.02 inches thicker than the Apple iPhone Air, but the Honor flagship is said to offer better hardware in many respects. As Honor has already confirmed, the Magic 8 Pro Air features a 50MP f/1.6 main camera based on a relatively large 1/1.3-inch sensor, which is accompanied by a 64MP f/2.6 periscope telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom. Rumors also point to a 50MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera.
With a display size of 6.31 inches, the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is expected to be significantly more compact than the iPhone Air. Honor reportedly opted for an LTPO AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz, an HDR peak brightness of 6000 nits and a resolution of 2640 x 1216 pixels. The phone will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500, which should result in flagship performance. Moreover, the 5,500mAh battery is significantly larger than that of the Apple iPhone Air or the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, and it can be charged either via USB-C at up to 80 watts or wirelessly at up to 50 watts. The Honor Magic8 Pro Air will be officially unveiled on January 19.
