Xiaomi has now officially released the Redmi Note 15 5G globally after presenting the device at the end of last year. Replacing the Redmi Note 14 5G in the process (curr. $238 on Amazon), the Redmi Note 15 5G adopts a new design but familiar hardware.
For example, Xiaomi's new 5G smartphone retains its predecessor's 108 MP primary, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 20 MP front-facing cameras. Also, the Redmi Note 15 5G carries over a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. However, peak brightness has increased from 2,100 nits to 3,200 nits to match the cheaper Redmi Note 15 4G.
Conversely, Xiaomi has upgraded peak battery capacity from 5,110 mAh to 5,520 mAh while maintaining 45 W wired charging. Moreover, the Redmi Note 15 5G dispenses with the Dimensity 7025 Ultra that powered its predecessor for the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 for a circa 20% performance improvement according to our benchmarks.
The Redmi Note 15 5G currently starts at £199 in the UK and €249.90 in the Eurozone. However, these prices feature 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage and 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage, respectively. Alternatively, Xiaomi charges €279.90 for those in the Eurozone wanting a higher memory configuration. Please see Xiaomi's website for more details.
