It has been a few years since Samsung launched its Certified Re-Newed program in the US and Korea; Samsung has now announced its launch in Europe. Samsung is starting with select models of the Galaxy S25 series in these regions, but it is expected that the Galaxy Z series, which joined the renewed program for the first time in August 2025, will follow suit later.
The Certified Re-Newed program lets Samsung sell renewed Galaxy flagship devices at a reduced price compared to the cost of purchasing a brand-new one. For now, Samsung is launching the program in France (as Reconditionné Premium par Samsung/Refurbished Premium by Samsung), Germany, and the UK.
Buyers in the aforementioned regions will only be able to purchase the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It is also important to state that the renewed phones are available in limited colors and configurations, and availability varies from region to region.
In France, buyers can purchase a renewed Galaxy S25 in Absolute Black and Coral with 256GB of storage for €799. There's a listing for a renewed Galaxy S25 Plus, but there's no price tag. The Galaxy S25 Ultra with 256GB of storage is priced at €1,249 and is available in Titanium Black and Absolute Black.
Those in Germany get more colors for all three models. The renewed Galaxy S25 with 128GB of storage is priced at €769, while the version with 256GB of storage is €799. There's also a 512GB version for €859. The bigger and better Galaxy S25 Plus is available in 256GB and 512GB variants for €979 and €1,039, respectively. The renewed Galaxy S25 Ultra starts at €1239 for the 256GB version, goes up to €1299 for the 512GB version, and maxes out at €1419 for the 1TB version.
The UK gets the short end of the stick, as the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the only model currently available, and it is priced at £1,153 for 512GB of storage and in Titanium Black.
Samsung says the Certified Re-Newed devices have undergone in-house expert inspection and refurbishment, which includes deep cleaning and over 100 quality tests. All devices have been reset to delete the personal data of the previous users while damaged parts are repaired with original Samsung parts.
Samsung also updates the software to the latest version and assigns a new IMEI to the devices sold in Europe. The renewed devices are packed in new boxes that include the same in-box items as a new device. They also have the same warranty as new devices.
