Capcom's TGS 2026 Spotlight brought Mega Man: Dual Override details, a Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen date, Street Fighter 6's Arjun and Resident Evil Switch 2 ports.

Capcom kicked off its Tokyo Game Show 2026 coverage on September 16 with a 40-minute Capcom Spotlight broadcast on its official social channels. The show brought gameplay reveals, release dates, and expansion details for Mega Man, Monster Hunter, Dragon's Dogma, Pragmata, Street Fighter, and Resident Evil.

Mega Man Dual Override and Pragmata crossover

The broadcast opened with an extended look at Mega Man: Dual Override, confirming Proto Man as a second playable protagonist. Where Mega Man favors ranged combat, Proto Man leans into close-range attacks and shield-based actions. Capcom detailed the Custom Chip System, which includes more than 50 active and passive chips, alongside a three-area stage structure and the high-risk Override limiter state. The game launches in Spring 2027 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Alongside the presentation, Capcom released a free Mega Man Pack crossover DLC for Pragmata, giving protagonists Hugh and Diana Mega Man and Roll-themed outfits, plus new gestures and background music.

Monster Hunter Wilds Ascendance and Dragon's Dogma 2 Dark Arisen

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance received an extended trailer confirming the return of Elder Dragon Teostra. Community-requested quality-of-life changes are coming to both the expansion and the base game, including faster weapon swapping without mounting a Seikret and Item Box equipment changes outside the tent.

Capcom also detailed Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, a paid expansion launching October 9, 2026, for existing PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC owners at $29.99. The same date brings the game to Nintendo Switch 2 for the first time as a bundled base game and expansion package priced at $49.99. Set in the snowbound region of Norgan, the expansion adds 12 Lost Rites endgame dungeons.

Street Fighter 6 and Resident Evil updates

Street Fighter 6 confirmed its next Year 4 DLC fighter, Arjun, arriving October 13, 2026, alongside C. Viper's Outfit 4.

On the Resident Evil front, Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition are launching natively on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2026, joining Resident Evil 7, Village, and Requiem already on the platform as part of Capcom's push to expand the franchise across more platforms. Resident Evil Veronica had no gameplay presence at the Spotlight or the TGS show floor; Capcom's online store offered only two small Veronica-branded accessories, and the remake remains slated for a 2027 release with no showcase date announced.
