It is finally official! Battlefield 6 has been confirmed as the name for the upcoming instalment and the first official trailer will be aired on July 24. This will be the first time EA will show off footage related to the game, even though a lot of it has leaked in the past through playtests and datamining. The company plans on releasing the game in March 2026 and seems to be sticking with its timelines for the reveal.
As announced by the official Battlefield account on X, Battlefield 6 will get its first reveal trailer on July 24 and the YouTube channel already has a premier scheduled. At the time of writing, there are just over 3,700 people waiting for the trailer which will air at 11am EST. The X post doesn’t reveal much about the game but the YouTube premier calls it the “ultimate all-out warfare experience.”
The announcement comes shortly after EA announced that the upcoming open beta will allow players to choose between open and close weapon classes. Back in May, EA confirmed that the controversial unlocked weapon classes will return to Battlefield 6. While the exact date for the open beta is currently unknown, it could be announced as part of the reveal trailer. Speculation suggests that it will commence on August 4.
Up till now, several hours of gameplay footage for Battlefield 6 from the Battlefield Labs playtests has leaked online. It is also known that there will be a free-to-play battle royale mode with some interesting mechanics. Recent leaks hinted at a July 31 reveal with content creators getting access to the game on July 30. Whether or not that still remains to be the case is unclear at this point. Regardless, fans will get their first official taste of Battlefield 6 soon, on July 24.
