Battlefield is a license that still appeals to thousands of fans worldwide. And the next game, Battlefield 6, confirms this, as the beta is already peaking at close to 10 000 players on Steam two days before its official launch.
It has to be said that this is one of the most eagerly awaited games of late 2025, for a number of reasons. Indeed, the gameplay seems faithful to fans expectations, with great inspiration from some of the license's greatest titles, such as Battlefield 3 or Battlefield 4.
But that's not all, as the graphics are also breathtakingly realistic. This allows every player to immerse themselves completely in the frantic fighting. What's more, Battlefield 6 is also expected to redeem the license. Particularly when you consider that the last few games have greatly disappointed fans, such as the much-missed Battlefield 2042, which looked so promising.
With this in mind, the beta is eagerly awaited, and there's no doubt that the game will be one of the most-played over the next few days. In fact, almost 10 000 players opened the game, according to SteamDB, although nothing is yet accessible apart from the settings menus. But there's no doubt that this figure will rise again over the weekend of August 9 and 10, with the launch of this beta. And don't forget that early access begins on August 7.
So if you fancy playing the Battlefield 6 beta this weekend, you can already download the game via Steam or EA. Note that it still takes up more than 40 GB, so you'll need to make sure you have enough storage space on your hard drive. If you're on a console, the beta is available in your PS5 and Xbox Series games catalog.
And if you can't play it this weekend, you can try your luck again from August 14 until August 17, 2025. Finally, if you prefer to take your time and keep the effect of surprise, you can enjoy Battlefield 6 when it comes out on October 10 on PS5, PC and Xbox Series.
