Looks like there was a sizable update to Battlefield Labs moving the upcoming game from pre-alpha to alpha. It also adds files for the battle royale mode and support for DLSS 4.

Battlefield 6, or whatever the next Battlefield game ends up being called, has had some extensive leaks. The streak seems to be continuing as it has been reported that the game has moved up from pre-alpha to alpha, and the developers have added support for DLSS, along with making a few more gameplay related changes. The leak also hints at the rumored battle royale mode.

Shared on the 1BF telegram channel, a new Battlefield Labs patch has dropped that is about 13 GB in size and brings several changes and features, only some of which have been discussed. Interestingly, the watermark has been changed from “Labs” to “BF Labs Alpha” and every mention of “PRE ALPHA” has been changed to “ALPHA.” This could suggest that the developers are getting closer to revealing the game since it is still confirmed for a summer reveal.

Among some of the other changes, the update adds support for DLSS, and while the leak does not mention which version, it is likely DLSS 4. Furthermore, the patch includes files for the battle royale game mode. This mode was leaked in May by a datamine and is rumored to be the remaster of “Operation Firestorm” from Battlefield V. It is said to bring some interesting mechanics for players that have been eliminated in a round.

Finally, players can now remove the borders around the capture zones, if they wish to. That’s about all the information from the latest leak.

There have been a lot of gameplay footage leaks from Battlefield Labs playtests that show impressive graphics, tank battles, weapons, gadgets, as well as the new controversial class system
