Le.Net: Tablet Dune has been launched
The new portable computer by the company Le.Net, Tablet Dune, has been introduced in Belgium and costs about 500 Euros.
Le.Net is now on the market and it comes with an Intel Atom processor and an Intel integrated video card. It also sports a 10.2-inch touchscreen, 2GB of RAM and a genuine copy of Windows 7 OS. An Android version will be released in the future but there is no information about when that will be available.
Configuration
The new Le.Net tablet PC is reportedly equipped with Intel’s Atom N450 processor which is clocked at 1.67GHz, has 512KB of L2 cache and is ranked 351 on Notebookcheck’s CPU Benchmarklist.
The Tablet Dune also comes with a 10.2-inch resistive multi-touch display on which a stylus can be used (included in the package). In addition, the widescreen has a native resolution of 1024-by-600 pixels. Moreover, the video card is Intel’s GMA graphics controller.
As for system memory and storage, this tablet houses 2GB of DDR2 RAM and users can choose to have a 160/250GB 2.5-inch rotating hard drive or a 16/32GB SSD. Storage can be further increased thanks to the integrated multi-format card reader.
Connectivity
Consumers can connect to the Internet in three different ways as the new Le.Net Tablet Dune has a built-in 3G module (which is optional), an 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and an Ethernet adapter. This portable PC also comes with three USB 2.0 ports, optional Bluetooth, an integrated 1.3-megapixel web camera and an audio in/out port.
Other specs and pricing
The battery of the new Tablet Dune is a 3,000mAh Li-ion one which can supposedly last between 2.5 and 4.5 hours. The new Le.Net Tablet Dune ships with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7. However, an Android version is supposedly on its way.
This portable PC is quite thin and weighs 1kg which is about 2.20lb making it highly portable and compact.
The Le.Net is currently available in Belgium and costs €500 (or approximately $633).
