Lenovo releases new 14-inch ThinkPad with Snadpragon X2 Elite and over 27 hours battery life

Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered versions of the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 are finally here. Announced in March, the device was one of three ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 variants that Lenovo brought to MWC 2026 in Barcelona. For reference, we have already reviewed its AMD Ryzen AI 400-backed sibling (curr. $1,579 on Amazon).
Now, Lenovo's Snapdragon variant has joined AMD and Intel Panther Lake options in Australia, Canada and the US with a starting weight of just 1.19 kg. Currently, the new ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 is only showing as 'coming soon' in Europe. However, Lenovo has not indicated when Snapdragon models will reach Europe and other markets.
In the meantime, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 Snapdragon has reached Australia, Canada and the US for AUD 2,490, CAD 2,469 and $1,719, respectively. By default, the 14-inch laptop ships with the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100, 16 GB of RAM and a 400-nit display, with a 256 GB SSD assigned in North America and a 512 GB equivalent in Australia.
Alternatively, one can configure the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 with the Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-80-100. A 12-core processor, the X2E-80-100 is the second slowest Snapdragon X2 Elite behind the X2E-84-100, X2E-88-100 and the X2E-90-100. Still, the Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-80-100 is around 20% faster than the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100, for which Lenovo applies a $160 surcharge in the US.
Moreover, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 Snapdragon comes with 16 GB or 32 GB of LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of M.2 2242 storage. Also, Lenovo includes a 58 Wh battery that is said to last over 27 hours in multiple official battery life tests. 400-nit or 500-nit IPS displays can be configured too, albeit both are 1200p and 60 Hz panels.
