Microsoft is giving away Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones with select Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models

If you've been planning to buy a new Surface Pro or Surface Laptop, Microsoft has launched a promotion that could make the purchase even more appealing. For a limited time, you can get a pair of Sony WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones worth $458 at no extra cost when purchasing select Surface devices.

The offer, however, is available for a limited number of Surface models and only applies to certain high-end configurations, so not every version of the laptops qualifies for the free headphones. The offer is currently available with three devices: the Surface Pro 13-inch 12th Edition, the Surface Laptop 13.8-inch 8th Edition, and the Surface Laptop 15-inch 8th Edition.

While the Surface Pro lineup starts at $1,499.99, the free Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are only included with configurations priced at $2,099.99 or higher. Similarly, the Surface Laptop 13.8-inch 8th Edition qualifies only with configurations starting at $1,999, while the Surface Laptop 15-inch 8th Edition requires a configuration priced at $2,199 or above.

After purchasing an eligible Surface device, you won't receive the headphones immediately. Instead, Microsoft says a redemption code will be sent to the email address used for the purchase within seven days. That code can then be redeemed through Sony's website, after which Sony will ship the headphones directly to your address. However, you’ll need to redeem the code before December 31, 2026. 

The promotion is currently available until July 31. However, it may end earlier if the allocated supply of Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones is exhausted before then.
