Unannounced Bose QuietComfort (2nd Gen) headphones leak with new design, TrueSpatial audio

Bose's standard QuietComfort headphones, which have been unchanged since its 2023 debut, may be getting their first refresh very soon. French deals outlet Dealabs claims to have obtained pricing, specs, and a release date for a QuietComfort (2nd Gen) model — despite what the site describes as zero prior leaks pointing to the product's existence.

Per the report, the headphones will launch on August 13, 2026. Preorders will potentially open around August 7. Pricing is listed at €349.95, £299.95, and $359 — the same price tag as the outgoing model, even after the new added features.

Speaking of new features, the leaked changes hint towards pill-shaped ear cushions, a wider headband with more synthetic leather padding, and controls moved onto the earcups themselves. Audio-wise, Dealabs says that the QuietComfort headphones will feature Bose's TrueSpatial technology, lossless USB-C playback, and two new listening modes — "Immersion" and a dialogue-focused "Cinema Mode". Battery life would reportedly hold steady at up to 24 hours with noise cancellation on, or 18 hours with TrueSpatial on.

For comparison, Bose's QuietComfort Ultra (2nd gen curr. discounted to $369 on Amazon) line already got several of these same features — lossless USB-C audio, Cinema Mode, and a somewhat similar redesign — when it received its own second-generation update in September 2025. If the leak holds weight, the QuietComfort (2nd Gen) would undercut the launch MSRP of the Ultras by nearly $90 while still getting much of the same feature set roughly a year later. 

Bose hasn't commented, and as with any pre-launch leak, the claims are unverified.
