Beelink launches affordable Wildcat Lake NAS with 124TB storage support

Beelink has introduced another configuration for the ME Pro, and this one features a Wildcat Lake CPU. Specifically, it's the Intel Core 3 304, an entry-level option from the lineup.
Interestingly, Beelink has paired this processor with phone-grade UFS 3.1 storage, similar to the recently released EQi Wildcat Lake mini PC from the company. This is phone-grade storage, and while it's faster than eMMC, its transfer speeds can only match the slow PCIe 4.0 x1 standard.
Other than that, the ME Pro with the Core 3 304 is a four-bay NAS with each of the bays having support for up to a 30TB drive. There's only one M.2 slot, and Beelink notes that it can be equipped with up to a 4TB SSD, but there shouldn't be an issue if an 8TB drive is installed instead.
As for the design, this Wildcat Lake configuration of the NAS has the same chassis as the other ME Pro models. Beelink claims that it's 50% smaller than regular four-bay systems. It's also worth noting that, like the other options in the lineup, the motherboard is swappable.
Port configuration of the system is quite interesting as well. The ME Pro with the Intel Core 3 304 has the following ports:
- 2x Thunderbolt 4
- 1x 10GbE
- 1x 2.5GbE
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 2.0
- 1x 3.5mm audio
Thanks to the Thunderbolt 4 ports, it would be possible to expand the storage of the NAS further with external drives (Lexar E750 USB4 M.2 enclosure curr. $85.49 on Amazon) . On that note, the system comes with 16GB of DDR5 RAM, but there's support for up to 64GB.
In China, the Beelink ME Pro with the Intel Core 3 304 has a launch price of CNY 4,719, about $697. The company hasn't confirmed the global release date yet, but it's expected to step outside the Chinese market soon.
