Beelink intros refreshed 72TB NAS with powerful AMD APU and affordable price

Beelink has introduced the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 variant of the two-bay ME Pro NAS. Most of the specs of this refresh remain the same as the last version, other than some minor changes brought by the Gorgon Point APU.

Among those changes is the 55TOPS NPU, which is a small upgrade over the 50TOPS NPU of the AI 9 HX 370. The total AI performance is 86TOPS, and with this, the NAS should be capable of handling local AI tasks like natural language search and video tagging with ease.

Another notable change is support for higher memory clock speeds, with the AI 9 HX 470 bringing support for LPDDR5x-8533 RAM. However, the NAS comes with DDR5 SODIMM slots, and Beelink notes that the system can be equipped with up to 32GB of RAM running at 5600MT/s.

Other than that, the rest of the specs are more or less similar to the two-bay ME Pro with the AI 9 HX 370. Beelink highlights that there are three M.2 slots, and they are said to be capable of holding up to a 4TB SSD (Lexar 4TB NQ780 curr. $479.99 on Amazon). In addition, there are two HDD bays, with each having support for up to a 30TB drive, which makes the marketed storage support stand at 72TB.

However, the M.2 slots should be capable of holding up to an 8TB SSD, and with that, the total storage support would stand at 84TB. The port configuration remains the same as well, which is as follows:

• 1x 3.5mm audio

For wireless connectivity, there's WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Other highlights include a sleek and compact design, Radeon 890M iGPU, and a modular motherboard. In China, the ME Pro AI 9 HX 470 starts at CNY 4,795, around $711, which is the price tag for the barebone configuration. Beelink has yet to share global launch and availability details.
