Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi Projector 4 Pro in China. This model features various upgrades compared to its predecessor, including a higher brightness level and support for MEMC motion smoothing. Plus, the device has an integrated ToF sensor for automatic focus and keystone correction tools.

The Xiaomi Redmi Projector 4 Pro has been launched in China. It arrives around a year after the company released the Redmi Projector 3 Pro in this market. The latest model has a similar rectangular design, but features several upgrades.

Like its predecessor, the Redmi Projector 4 Pro is a 1080p projector with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. It can throw images between 45 and 120 inches wide, with a 1.25:1 throw ratio. The first upgrade is found in the light source, which offers up to 600 CVIA lumens rather than 470 CVIA lumens brightness. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not provided a brightness measurement linked to an internationally recognised standard like ANSI or ISO lumens.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Projector 4 Pro has a ToF laser sensor for intelligent picture-enhancing tools like automatic focus and automatic keystone correction. Another upgrade is the addition of an MEMC motion smoothing feature. Plus, the two 6W speakers have been replaced with two 8W speakers. This model supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1, with ports like HDMI ARC, USB 2.0 and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is also compatible with Xiaomi HyperOS Connect, with remote controls via the Xiaomi app or using voice commands. The projector measures 226.0 x 210.8 x 155.2 mm (~8.9 x 8.3 x 6.1 inches).

In China, the Xiaomi Redmi Projector 4 Pro retails for CNY 1,799 (~$253). The company has yet to announce plans to bring this model to other markets like Europe, where it already sells the Xiaomi Smart Projector L1 Pro (curr. €288.50 at Amazon DE).
