Vankyo has unveiled the H500R projector in the US market, which is now available for $198 via Walmart online and offline stores. The company’s new budget-friendly offering offers a native 1080p resolution, projecting images between 55 and 80 inches (139.7 and 203.2 cm) in size. There are also autofocus and autokeystone correction tools to adjust the image.
Speaking of brightness, Vankyo suggests that the H500R delivers up to 330 ANSI lumens of brightness. The projector ships with a compact and portable design, which makes it easy to haul around. Speaking of software, the gadget runs the Roku OS system out of the box, which offers quick access to top streaming platforms like Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, and more.
On top of that, you can physically connect devices via ports like USB-A, HDMI, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Additionally, there are also dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity options to allow wireless audio and device pairing. The H500R has two built-in 5 W speakers, which are said to offer clear and rich audio. The LCD light source lasts up to 4400 hours.
You can operate the gadget via remote. Alternatively, you can also control the projector via the Roku TV companion app. The app further enables several features such as voice search, TV browsing, headphone mode, and more. Dimensionally, the H500R measures 4.6 x 7.4 x 7.8 inches (11.6 x 18.7 x 19.8 cm) and weighs around 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
