Optoma has officially launched the Photon Life PH31 projector. Already selling in Europe and now available to pre-order in the US, this is a home entertainment model. According to the brand, it offers up to 1,500 ISO lumens brightness and can throw images up to 150 inches wide.

The Optoma Photon Life PH31 projector is now available to pre-order in the US. Arriving in Europe several weeks ago, this is a relatively affordable model with a basic feature set, designed for use in any room in your home.

The PH31 is a Full HD 1080p model with an RGB LED light source. This is said to generate up to 1,500 ISO lumens, or 2,700 ANSI lumens, brightness, so it is suited to darker rooms and smaller image sizes. The light source should run for around 30,000 hours. This DLP projector can throw images up to 150 inches wide, with 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios.

The image from the Optoma PH31 can be perfected with tools like automatic vertical keystone correction and 1.1x manual zoom. Ports include HDMI 1.4a (HDCP 1.4) to connect your source, like a TV stick or TV box. Plus, there is a 3.5mm audio jack and an integrated 5W speaker. The model measures 238 x 215 x 120 mm (~9.4 x 8.5 x 4.7 inches) and weighs 2.2 kg (~4.9 lbs).

You can currently pre-order the Optoma Photon Life PH31 home entertainment projector for $699.00 at B&H Photo. The company does not indicate when it expects to receive stock of this product. In Europe, the model is available at retailers like Richer Sounds in the UK for £449.99, and at Amazon in countries like Germany for €549.90.
