BenQ GV32: New, portable and versatile projector with smart features now available for pre-order

BenQ has launched another new projector, the GV32, although it is conceptually very similar to existing models such as the BenQ GV11. It is also a portable projector, weighs just 1.6 kilograms and measures 130 x 211.2 x 191.4 centimeters. It can be tilted quite far on the included stand, making it suitable for projecting not only onto a wall but also onto a ceiling. The projector can display a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and so can play FullHD material in native resolution. As is typical for compact LED projectors, the brightness is very limited at a specified 500 ANSI lumens.

The GV32 does not have a particularly short projection, namely 1:1.2, so a projection diagonal of 60 inches requires a distance of 1.5 meters and for 120 inches 3.2 meters. An external player is not needed, as Google TV is included, which can be used to play material from Netflix or YouTube. WiFi is supported and a 60-watt power bank can be used. Image content can also be delivered via USB-C. The GV32 is advertised with an input lag of 22.4 milliseconds, which should make it suitable for use with game consoles. Smart features are designed to simplify setup and reduce the effort involved. In the US, the model will launch at a price of $599. Information on availability in other markets is still pending.
