To clear up confusion about its Fire TV Sticks with 4K streaming capabilities, Amazon has renamed the model previously known as the Fire TV Stick 4K. According to its updated product page, the device known as the Fire TV Stick will now be sold as the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus sits between the recently-launched Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Save for the name change, everything else stays the same. The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus is available to buy for $49.99 and comes with an Alexa Voice Remote. Amazon also provides the option for buyers to purchase the streaming stick with the old name.
The Fire TV Stick 4K Plus supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG. It also supports Dolby Atmos Audio. The streaming stick is powered by a quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It also has Wi-Fi 6, Alexa+, and support for cloud gaming services such as Amazon's own Luna and Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass.
Following the renaming, Amazon's lineup of streaming devices is now made up of the $34.99 Fire TV Stick HD, the Fire TV Stick 4K Select priced at $39.99, the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus with a $49.99 price tag, the $59.99 Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and the $139.99 Fire TV Cube.
