Steam Machine page live at Valve store, but Steam Controller release date may be closer

Prior to the official reveal of Valve’s hardware, the products surfaced on the company’s Japanese retailer. Another release date update may be imminent, with store pages for the Steam Machine, Controller, and Frame now accessible. However, one insider cautions that after recent leaks, the wireless controller is more likely to launch first.
While many regions purchase directly from Steam, Komodo Station serves buyers in several Asian countries. As the November announcement showed, listings at the store sometimes appear early. Fans are now hopeful that, if pre-orders don’t begin, the company will at least pinpoint a Steam Machine release date.
For gamers anxious for news on the mini PC, a reliable source warns them to temper their expectations. On social media, Brad Lynch notes that Komodo Station only posted new media for the Steam Controller. The Linux-based cube and Frame VR headset listings are recycling older assets. Unfortunately, there are still no hints about prices for any of the gear.
Is the Steam Controller ready?
After consecutive weeks of Steam Controller leaks, anticipation has been building for the accessory. First, datamines by Lynch on the Valve site discovered information about its setup and pairing. Not long after, he shared that the manufacturer imported a large shipment of a “Wireless PC Controller.” Most recently, a non-viewable unboxing video was detected on the marketplace’s backend.
Unlike with the mini PC, its bundled peripheral shouldn’t be as impacted by the memory shortage. Higher component prices prompted a delay in the Steam Machine release date. Originally, its debut was set for early in the year, before the window changed to a more vague 2026.
Previously, Valve suggested it wanted to launch the console alternative, Steam Controller, and Steam Frame simultaneously. It’s possible the strategy has shifted, with the PC controller reaching buyers shortly. Followers will be refreshing the official social media accounts for any clarification.
