Valve is reportedly planning to add a 30-day price history for Steam games

When it comes to buying games, price history plays a big role as it helps you understand whether you’re actually getting a good deal or if the price might drop even further during a sale. Right now, Steam doesn’t offer this feature directly, but that could change soon as there has been an update to the Steam client's code.
At the moment, most users rely on third-party tools to track price history. One of the most popular options is SteamDB, which lets players check how a game’s price has changed over time. It’s useful, but it requires leaving Steam and using an external site.
However, it looks like Valve may be working on bringing this feature directly into Steam. The update was shared by LambdaGen and is based on data found on SteamDB, which tracks Steam’s backend changes made by Valve. According to the information shared, Steam could soon show a 30-day price history for games.

If this feature gets released, it would make things much easier for users. Instead of relying on external tools, players could quickly check whether the current price is the lowest it has been recently.
As of now, Valve has not officially confirmed this feature. It appears to still be in testing, and there’s no clear timeline for when or if it will be released. Still, if it does arrive, it will be a good addition for Steam users who want more transparency when buying games.
