It is more and more likely that the next monitor you buy will support DisplayPort (or DP) 2.1, a standard rated to support a bandwidth of up to 80Gb/s, thereby enabling the transmission of "uncompressed 16K content", or, more likely, 8K at a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, or 4K at 240Hz, 360Hz, 540Hz or even 960Hz.
Silkland asserts that its latest cable is the first of 6.6 feet (or 2 meters) in length with the new "D80" logo on its end-caps, conferred by its VESA certification for those cutting-edge DP 2.1 specs. They are supported on cards of the AMD RX 7000 series such as the RX 7900 XTX, and also the RTX 3070 all the way to the latest 5090 cards from NVIDIA.
The S1334 cable also supports FreeSync and G-Sync, and is also rated to maintain HDR10+ visuals on applicable hardware.
The cable and its "24K gold-plated connectors" are priced at $23.99 via its new vendor, which is offering a 20% introductory discount for a limited time.
Then again, DP80 should also be integrated into Thunderbolt 5 when its time truly comes.
