The Predator X27U has been around for a while now, having been presented alongside the Predator X45 in the spring of 2023. For context, Acer bases the Predator X27U (curr. $666 on Amazon) on a QD-OLED panel sourced from Samsung Display.
Now, ITHome has discovered that Acer has created a new variant, which it is already selling in China as the Predator X27U X1. Incidentally, this new monitor appears to share the same underlying panel as the Predator X27U, which differs from the LG Display WOLED equivalent Acer used in the Predator X27U F3.
As such, the Predator X27U X1 outputs natively at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels to generate a 110 PPI pixel density. The monitor also packs a 240 Hz refresh rate, which it complements with 0.03 ms GtG response times and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to mitigate image tearing at fast refresh rates. On top of that, the QD-OLED panel covers 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space and should reach 400 nits when viewing HDR content, for which it has received VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification.
The Predator X27U X1 comes with an adjustable stand too that it allows it to be tilted, lifted and rotated as needed. Alternatively, the monitor has 75 x 75 mm VESA mounts for using a third-party stand. DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports are present, as are a pair of 5 W speakers. The Predator X27U X1 is available in China for CNY 2,999 (~$414); there is no word yet on international availability.
