Less than a month has passed since LG showcased the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A, which it then exhibited at CES 2025 in Las Vegas earlier this month. Now, the company has divulged more details about the same monitor ahead of its presumed release later this year. Incidentally, the company also shared new information about the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA while also revealing the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA for the first time.
To recap, LG previously confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A would run natively at 5,120 x 2,160 (5K2K) in an upgrade on last year's UltraGear OLED 45GS95QE (curr. $1,099.99 on Amazon). The jump from 1440p to 2160p while maintaining a 21:9 aspect ratio has come at a cost, though.
Namely, LG has dropped the refresh rate from 240 Hz to 165 Hz, albeit with a caveat. Like the new UltraGear 27G850A, the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A achieves a higher refresh rate via LG's Dual Mode technology. In this case, Dual Mode drops the ultra-wide monitor's resolution to 1080p to hit 330 Hz.
The UltraGear OLED 45GX950A offers 0.03 ms GtG response times too, as well as VESA ClearMR 13000 and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certifications. Unfortunately, LG has not revealed pricing or availability yet. There is no update on the bendable UltraGear OLED 45GX990A for now, either.
