LG announced three OLED monitors ahead of CES 2025, which it promptly showcased earlier this month at the Las Vegas-based trade show. However, it then decided to showcase a fourth as an adjunct to the UltraGear OLED 39GX90SA that received little to no coverage.
Now, the likes of DisplaySpecifications and Prad.de have picked up on the fact that LG has shared early details about UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA on a Japanese-language microsite. On the face of it, the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA appears to resemble last year's UltraGear OLED 34GS95QE (curr. $799.99 on Amazon). Likewise, the former matches the latter with a 1440p native resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.03 ms GtG response times.
LG has also confirmed that the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA sports an 800R curvature and covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and ClearMR 13000 certifications. In other words, these are exact matches for the UltraGear OLED 34GS95QE, which suggests that LG is re-using its WOLED panel on the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA.
The differences between the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA and UltraGear OLED 34GS95QE lie in the details. On the one hand, LG has complemented the latter's ports with a second DisplayPort 1.4 connection and a USB Type-C port that can recharge connected devices at up to 65 W. On the other hand, the UltraGear OLED 34GX90SA comes pre-installed with webOS that will provide access to gaming streaming services like Nvidia GeForce Now. Pricing and availability have not been outlined yet, although we imagine LG will do so later this quarter based on past performance.
