Lenovo announced two new 34-inch ultrawide displays intended for business users. The P34W-40 and P34WD-40 are AI-powered monitors with a sustainable design.
The P34W-40 features a 34-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 3440x1440 at 109 ppi. The display is rated at 300 nits of brightness, which can be adjusted dynamically via Lenovo's AI Power Solution. The monitor covers 99% and 98% of the sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts, respectively, and features a contrast ratio of 2000:1. It also has a variable refresh rate that runs between 24 and 120 Hz. Port selection is fairly standard for a business monitor, including 1 HDMI 2.1 (18 Gbps) port, a DisplayPort 1.4 (32.4 Gbps, supports WQHD at 120 Hz), and a DisplayPort 1.4 out that allows users to daisy-chain two displays together, albeit at 60 Hz.
The P34WD-40 is a bit beefier on paper. While the P34WD-40 boasts the same resolution and color coverage as its brother. However, it has a slightly higher 350 nit backlight and is certified for HDR10 content. In addition to the same ports as the P34W-40, the P34WD-40 also has a single USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) Type-B port (for connecting to a computer to act like a USB hub), five USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) Type-C port. It also boasts two integrated 5 Watt speakers.
Both monitors are built with 95% recycled plastic and have stands made with 100% recycled aluminum.
The ThinkVision P34WD-40 will be available starting at $899 in June 2025. Pricing and availability for the P34W-40 was not available at press time.
