Around this time last year, we reported that the 2023 Acer Swift Edge 16 OLED laptop was going for only $849.99 instead of the $1,200 full retail. Naturally, one year later the laptop has gotten even cheaper.
Newegg is now offering the Acer Swift Edge 16 with a Ryzen 7 7840U APU, 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 1 TB of Gen 4 storage, and a 16-inch OLED display for only $749.99. The new price is a gigantic $570 lower than the list price (linked at the end).

Acer Swift Edge 16: Stunning display and fast Zen 4 performance
The key characteristics of the Acer Swift Edge 16 on sale are the device’s OLED display, low weight of just 1.23 kg (2.72 lbs), and the fast Zen 4 performance of the Ryzen 7 7840U. Moreover, the laptop also gets a healthy port selection featuring two USB 4 connectors, two Type-A ports, one microSD card reader, and more.
Looking at the display in a bit more detail, our review revealed that the 16-inch 3,200 x 2,000 resolution 120 Hz OLED display covers almost complete DCI-P3 and AdobeRGB gamut while delivering infinite contrast and 380 nits of average brightness. The panel is also Pantone-validated and doesn’t need user calibration.
When it comes to performance, the 8-core/16-thread Ryzen 7 7840U is plenty fast for CPU-bound tasks. Users can also play light/older AAA and indie games using the Radeon 780M iGPU. Sadly, the speedy performance has a negative impact on fan noise where the Swift Edge 16 isn’t anything impressive.
