The soundcore Boom 2 Pro Bluetooth speaker has appeared at Amazon in Germany. This model from the Anker sub-brand was on show at CES 2025 and is said to be an upgrade on the older Boom 2 Plus.
Many of the specifications of the Boom 2 Pro have been revealed in a manual. This indicates that the new model has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and improvement on the IPX7 rating of the Boom 2 Plus. Otherwise, the two models appear to have the same features. These include a maximum 140W output from two 50W 4.5-inch woofers and two 20W 0.75-inch tweeters. The frequency response range is 40 Hz to 20 kHz, and features include soundcore Pro EQ and a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Mode when you pair two speakers.
The Boom 2 Pro’s 7,500mAh battery is said to provide up to 20 hours of playback. The battery can also be used to charge smaller devices like your phone with a 10W output. The power pack recharges at 30W in three hours. The speaker supports Bluetooth 5.3 over a range of 100m, and built-in lights can sync to the music to enhance your listening experience.
You can now pre-order the soundcore Boom 2 Pro and soundcore Select 3 bundle at Amazon Germany for €299.98; orders are due to ship on March 3rd. The soundcore Boom 2 Pro is listed with a €249.99 RRP and is also expected to be released on March 3rd. For context, that makes it €50 more expensive than the Boom 2 Plus. The Boom 2 Pro is expected to launch in the US this April for $249.
