Anker Soundcore C40i: New version of wireless earbuds receives discount on Amazon

We've previously reported on the Anker Soundcore C40i earbuds, which have recently hit the market in a brand-new colorway. From a technical perspective, the new version is identical to the original, but there's certainly a visual difference between the two.

More specifically, the new version comes in a color called "Desert Bronze" instead of "Graphite Gray". Both versions are currently on sale on Amazon, which is where a coupon code offered on the according product page provide a discount of $10 or 10%. The wireless earbuds are sold by Anker but shipped directly by Amazon.

As the picture already indicates, the Soundcore C40i are not in-ear but rather open-ear headphones that wrap around your ear. The connecting joint is flexible and ensures a comfortable and secure fit.

Since the Soundcore C40i don't extend into the ear, they can accommodate larger drivers which measure 12 x 17 millimeters. This should result in a more powerful bass and overall better audio quality.

3D surround sound can be activated via the Anker’s smartphone app, although there are obvious limitations with only two drivers. The wireless earbuds also feature active noise reduction during phone calls, but proper ANC (active noise cancellation) is not supported due to their open design.

Multipoint Bluetooth is supported as well, and the wireless headphones are water-resistant according to the IPX4 standard. Even more importantly, the Anker Soundcore C40i offer a continuous battery life of 7 hours on a full charge of the earbuds, but the included charging case extends the total runtime to up to 21 hours.
