Acer has announced a high-end Predator-branded gaming monitor to supplement its gaming laptops at CES 2025. The Acer Predator XB323QX is one of the first 31.3-inch 5K (5,120 x 2,880) gaming monitors to debut in 2025. And, if that wasn't enough, it has yet another trick up its sleeve: DFR (Dynamic Frequency and Resolution).
Essentially you, can switch between 5K 144 Hz and 1440p 288 Hz at will, as long as your device/cable supports the resolution. The Acer Predator XB323QX supports Nvidia G-Sync, 0.5ms grey-to-grey respnse time, 350 nits brightness, 10-bit colour depth and covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 99% of sRGB.
For I/O, the Acer Predator XB323QX comes with just two HDMI 2.1 and one DP 1.4 ports. No integrated USB hub or anything. The monitor also comes with a pair of 2 Watt speakers you can use as a backup audio solution. Unfortunately, it will be a while before you can buy the Predator XB323QX. Acer says it will hit shelves in Q3 2024 for an unspecified price that will likely be revealed closer to launch.
