AOC has broadened its gaming monitor division with the Gaming G42 series, which comes in three sizes. To recap, the company has introduced several G4 series gaming monitors of late, including the Gaming CQ27G4X (curr. $295 on Amazon). While AOC's recent G4 series releases started at £189.99 (~$238) in the UK, its new G42 monitors range between a mere £114.99 (~$144) and £129.99 (~$163):
- AOC Gaming 24G42E - £114.99
- AOC Gaming 25G42E - £119.99
- AOC Gaming 27G42E - £129.99
As their names suggest, the Gaming 24G2E, 25G2E and 27G2E feature 24-inch, 25-inch and 27-inch panels. AOC has not yet confirmed pricing for other markets though, such as Europe and the US. Fundamentally, the three IPS panels with 1 ms GtG response times, which AOC markets as 'Fast IPS'.
The trio deliver 180 Hz refresh rates too, albeit with 1080p resolutions. Likewise, each monitor boasts over 90% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and 300 nits peak brightness. The Gaming G42 series comes with adjustable stands and 100 x 100 mm VESA mounts too, along with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and 3.5 mm ports. Please see our table below for more details.
