Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide compared to Fold8 as mini-foldable with 5.4" cover display

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is said to look almost identical to the Galaxy Z Fold7 ($1,775 on Amazon). However, Samsung is set to show a little design innovation this summer, because in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Flip8, the manufacturer is also set to launch a brand new Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide.
The latest render images, which the leaker @OnLeaks published in collaboration with Android Headlines, show the two folding flagships from Samsung in direct comparison. As the dimensions have already suggested, the regular Galaxy Z Fold8 is around 3.5 centimetres taller than the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, with the latter being one to two centimetres wider, depending on whether the smartphones are opened or closed.
As the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide has a secondary display with a diagonal of 5.4 inches instead of the 6.5 inches of the Galaxy Z Fold8, the model is much more compact when folded. The main display in landscape format could make multitasking with two apps placed next to each other and video streaming more convenient
This comparison is interesting not least because the Apple iPhone Fold is expected to have a similar format to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide. While Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to be officially unveiled in September, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide should be unveiled in July or August
