PlayStation Days of Play 2026 discounts leak, but PS5 console sales are missing

Reliable leaker billbil-kun has unveiled details for Sony’s PlayStation Days of Play 2026 event. The promotions reportedly will begin on May 27th, continue through the June 2nd State of Play showcase, and end on June 10th. Buyers can anticipate discounts on accessories and games, but console shoppers may not find relief for the recent PS5 price increase.

Controllers, audio gear, and more

The next Days of Play appears to be heavily focused on accessories. Billbil-kun believes that DualSense controllers will be available for as low as €54.99, saving €20. Meanwhile, the pro-grade alternative DualSense Edge enjoys a reduced sale price of €189.99.

Sony also plans to offer deals on other premium hardware. The Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore gaming headsets and earbuds will be at least €20 off. Amid criticism that the company doesn’t support its VR headset, it will sell the PSVR 2 at €349.99 rather than €449.99.  

The leak lacks details on PS5 games, but expect to see the first-party Ghost of Yōtei priced at €54.99. If past Days of Play are any indication, many more titles will be featured on Sony’s storefront and participating retailers. Although billbil-kun provided European pricing, shoppers in North America and other regions should encounter similar discounts.

Too soon for a PS5 price break?

Unfortunately, the insider hasn’t learned of any PlayStation console deals. During the 2025 event and Black Friday, buyers took advantage of offers on the gaming systems. Yet, shortly after the latest PS5 and PS5 Pro price increase, the manufacturer may hesitate to reverse course. It would have been an opportunity to boost lagging hardware sales.

Likewise, there are no indications of reduced rates on PlayStation Plus plans. Gamers in select regions just learned that the Essential tier would suffer a slight price hike. That said, subscribers can benefit from an additional 5% discount on PlayStation Direct store purchases.

It’s still possible Sony could announce more deals, including PS5 console sales, before PlayStation Days of Play 2026 kicks off on May 27th.
