Garmin has rolled out Beta Version 13.18 to Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatches. While previous beta builds only made a few changes to the flagship smartwatches, Beta Version 13.18 introduces over a dozen bug fixes for various outstanding issues.

Garmin has released Beta Version 13.18 for Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatches. For reference, Beta Version 13.18 is the third beta build released for the Fenix 7 series and its counterparts this week, with Beta Versions 13.16 and 13.17 containing a few bug fixes each. In comparison, Beta Version 13.18 features 15 changes, outlined below:

  • Fixed data fields not drawing correctly in hierarchical layout.
  • Fixed HRM sensor icon not appearing in the status bar for swimming activities.
  • Fixed HRV Status 4-week history chart possibly overlapping bottom label.
  • Fixed label being cutoff in Wakesports activity for certain languages.
  • Fixed map banner only showing coordinates rather than selected POIs.
  • Fixed misaligned rows in new activity settings page.
  • Fixed multisport icon being colored incorrectly on the new activity settings page.
  • Fixed pool length option being incorrectly shown during multisport activities.
  • Fixed possible shutdown when changing daily suggested workout settings from the calendar widget.
  • Fixed possible shutdown when selecting an activity profile to follow navigation.
  • Fixed possible shutdown when switching from one app to another with a hot key.
  • Fixed possibly not being able to set a custom power mode inside an activity.
  • Fixed shutdown when skipping the last group of a strength workout.
  • Fixed title being cutoff on the exercise load page for certain languages.
  • Updated Translations.

Garmin notes that 40% of eligible smartwatches should have now received Beta Version 13.18, a percentage that should rise within the next 24-48 hours. Also, Garmin has issued the last Fenix 7 series beta as an over-the-air (OTA) update rather than through its Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) service. Hence, you can skip the queue by selecting 'Check for Updates' by heading to Menu - System - Software Update on your Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatch.

It is worth stressing that Beta Version 13.18 is not a Release Candidate build, as the equivalents are for the Forerunner 255 and Forerunner 955 series. The volume of bug fixes contained within Beta Version 13.18 suggests that Garmin is on the home stretch with it latest round of software development for the Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series, though.
