Garmin has released another Release Candidate for the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965, two of its latest smartwatches. Rolling out now, Beta Version 4.17 is likely the last beta build before Garmin releases a new stable update for the Forerunner 265 and the Forerunner 965.

The Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965 have received new beta builds, following last week's release of Beta Version 4.15. To recap, Garmin launched both smartwatches at the start of March with AMOLED displays and other design tweaks from their predecessors. Since then, Garmin has released two beta updates so far with extensive changelogs.

In comparison, Beta Version 4.17 contains only two bug fixes. According to Garmin's changelog, it has addressed an issue that could cause CIQ watch face crashes. Additionally, Beta Version 4.17 should resolve a problem in Beta Version 4.15 that could corrupt course prompt text.

Please note that Beta Version 4.17 is the second Release Candidate after its predecessor. Thus, Garmin may soon release the former as a new stable update, provided that it does not observe any critical issues during public beta testing. If that is the case, then all Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 965 will receive the same improvements as Beta Version 4.17, as well as the following other changes from Beta Versions 4.12 and 4.15:
