Garmin releases new Fenix 7 beta update with PulseOx bug fix

Garmin has rushed out another beta update for Fenix 7 series smartwatches, as well as Epix 2, Enduro 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 models. To recap, Garmin published Beta Version 13.16 at the start of the week with a few changes aimed at resolving bugs that were present in its previous beta build. The same is true with Beta Version 13.17, albeit with different bug fixes.

For reference, Garmin has bundled more updated translations in this new beta build, mirroring Beta Version 13.16. However, Garmin claims to have fixed more outstanding bugs ahead, including one that could cause PulseOx to stop measuring. The full Beta Version 13.17 changelog is as follows:

• Fixed a potential issue that could cause PulseOx to stop measuring.
• Fixed issue causing alarm labels to not work.
• Fixed issue causing cut off time in the music glance when time was greater than an hour.
• Fixed potential shutdown on the automotive watch face (MARQ 2 Only.)
• Updated Translations.

Additionally, Garmin states that it has updated Sensor Hub software for all models from v24.18 to v24.22. Garmin is issuing its latest beta update in batches, as it did for Beta Version 13.16. While Beta Version 13.17 should have now reached 60% of eligible devices, it may take the company another day or so before it offers the new beta update to all eligible models.
