Garmin releases new Beta v12.22 with bug fixes for Instinct 2 and Crossover
Garmin has released Beta Version 12.22 for the Instinct 2 Series and Instinct Crossover smartwatches. This minor update contains two bug fixes for wearables signed up to the company's Beta Program. Firstly, a problem with the course elevation graph, which you can use to preview the elevation on your run or bike ride, or see upcoming changes in elevation, has been resolved.
Secondly, there was an issue where some users could not set the activity power mode, a feature which can be used to extend the smartwatch's battery life; this bug has also been fixed. You can view further details about the new software here. As with other recent updates, Garmin notes that this Beta update will not be automatically delivered to eligible smartwatches. Instead, you must manually load the software, downloading the file from the Garmin Forum.
It is worth noting that you must also install the Sensor Hub update, included in the .zip file, if you still need to do so for the 12.xx beta cycle. This step must be taken before you load v12.22. In the recent update 12.19, which also required a manual load, issues with the Daily Suggested Workout and Incident Detection features were resolved. If you wish to join the Garmin Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
