Garmin Beta 13.12 new update for Venu 2 smartwatches arrives
Garmin has released Beta Version 13.12 for the Venu 2 smartwatch series. This is a minor update, with the change log listing bug fixes such as ensuring the screen turns on for a hydration notification, which can remind you to take your next drink. Plus, Garmin has added the ability to review Connect IQ apps directly from the watch rather than needing to access the store on another device.
Garmin also lists ANT+ improvements, but it does not provide further details. The new software is in a pre-rollout release phase, meaning Venu 2 owners must install the update OTA via Wi-Fi. You can update to v13.12 when you go to: Main menu > Settings > System > Software Update. Garmin notes that the pre-rollout is complete and should be available to all eligible watches, including the Venu 2 and Venu 2S.
However, several users have noted on the Garmin Forum that they could not download some of the latest updates, including version 13.12, for their Venu 2 Plus wearable. The company has not stated whether this is intentional. A traditional rollout period is expected to follow these initial tests, though the timing of this second release is unclear. If you wish to sign up for the Garmin Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
