Garmin Fenix 7 Pro, Fenix 7S Pro and Fenix 7X Pro pricing leaks for Solar Edition models
More details about Garmin's Fenix 7 series refresh have emerged, a week after Roland Quandt shared press images of all forthcoming models. As we discussed at the time, Garmin has developed Pro versions of the Fenix 7, Fenix 7S, and Fenix 7X, all with Solar and Sapphire Solar variants. While Quandt provided images of Solar and Sapphire Solar editions, we imagine that Garmin will sell 'Standard' variants of the Fenix 7 Pro, Fenix 7S Pro and Fenix 7X Pro.
Now, @fttest_en has stumbled upon pricing for Solar Edition models of all smartwatches. Seemingly, Pro models will more or less price match their regular counterparts, at least for Solar Editions, excluding any sales. Thus, the Fenix 7 Pro Solar and Fenix 7S Pro Solar will retail for CHF 849.90 (~US$945), CHF 100 (~US$111) less than the Fenix 7X Pro Solar at CHF 949.90 (~US$1,057).
Based on last week's leak, it seems that Garmin has equipped these Pro smartwatches with a larger heart rate sensor, likely with improved accuracy courtesy of more LEDs. It remains to be seen whether the metallic contacts surrounding the new sensor serve any purpose though, with Gadgets & Wearables speculating it could be used to conduct ECG readings. Currently, Garmin is expected to announce new Fenix 7 series models later this month, with early June also a possibility.
