Garmin has announced that the Public Beta Version 15.19 for the Forerunner 945 LTE smartwatch is rolling out. At the time of writing, 50% of eligible wearables signed up for the Garmin Beta Program have received the new software. The changelog is almost identical to the previous two updates, v15.16 and v15.12, adding Daily Suggested workouts for cycling, Wrist-Based Running Dynamics and an Acute Chronic Workload Ratio metric to the watch.
Version 15.12 was pulled early into its release due to an issue, with version 15.16 aiming to address this. The difference with v15.19 is the Sensor Hub Update, version 24.22, rather than version 24.13. Presumably, this has been upgraded to fix bugs reported by users who installed update 15.16. The Bug Reports page shows that after installing update 15.16, customers have flagged problems with activity syncing, Training Readiness and navigation.
Garmin has said that v15.19 is a release candidate, meaning that a replica of this update will be pushed to all wearables, not just those on the Beta Program, in the near future, assuming no major issues are encountered with this early release. V15.16 and v15.12 were also listed as Release Candidates, with problems setting back the wider release. If you do not want to wait for the public update, you can join the Garmin Beta Program via Garmin Connect.
