Garmin brings bug fixes to Fenix 7, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ 2 smartwatches with new beta update
Garmin has released Beta Version 13.22 for the Fenix 7, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and MARQ 2 smartwatches. The update provides several bug fixes, including one for an issue which could prevent some of the Connect IQ watch faces from entering sleep mode correctly. Problems with the “based on” HR Zone setting and the heart rate connection icon have also been resolved.
Garmin has fixed a bug that could cause the watches to shut down unexpectedly in a strength activity and a problem where owners were locked out of their wallets. Specifically for the MARQ 2, an issue has been resolved where the Optical Heart Rate Sensor (OHR) would turn on when switched off. The company also says it has updated the translations on the smartwatches.
Beta Version 13.22 is automatically delivered to eligible wearables OTA; you can get the update immediately by going to Menu > System > Software Update > Check for Updates. Garmin suggests that all Public Beta users also install the secure_config files on their smartwatches, enabling extra features and automatically generating files in response to new bugs. The latest secure_config file was added on May 25, with versions for each wearable downloadable here. The previous update, v13.19, included a fix for the battery drain issues many users had reported when using CIQ watch faces. If you wish to join the Garmin Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
